GP Links Wide Bay is governed by a Board of Directors elected from association members. The board currently consists of five elected ordinary member directors and one associate member director who are appointed by the rest of the Board. Directors serve two year terms and may be re-elected.
The Board has a governance structure to ensure it fulfils all its duties in an effective and diligent manner. The Board examines performance and conformance functions both internally and externally, following an annual agenda to ensure all Director duties are carried out professionally and proficiently. All board members are required to undertake governance training, with a Strategic Planning Workshop scheduled for June 2008.
Dr Paul Neeskens is the current Board Chair.
