The association has three categories of Membership.

Full Members
General Practitioners who are in private general practice in the Association’s region that is as determined by the current contract with the Commonwealth Government for funding of the Association. An Ordinary Member shall have all the rights conferred on a member by these Rules, including the right to attend and vote at Annual General Meetings and General Meetings of the Association. Only an Ordinary Member and Associate Member can be a member of the Board.

Associate Members
Any other persons who in the opinion of the Board have contributed to the achievement of the objectives of the Association. An Associate Member shall have the right to attend any General Meetings but shall not have the right to vote at such meetings.  Associate Members are eligible for election or appointment to the Board.

Honorary Members
Any other persons who in the opinion of the Board may contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Association. An Honorary Member shall have the right to attend any General Meetings but shall not have the right to vote at such meetings, nor will they be eligible for election or appointment to the Board.
