EOIs for National Workforce Development Fund

General Practice Queensland’s (GPQ) iHealth Care+ Training, in partnership with Health Industry Training Queensland (HITQ), is applying for funding through the National Workforce Development Fund (NWDF) to support training and workforce development in the aged and primary health care sectors.

If successful, a limited number of Division of General Practice, Medicare Locals, general practice and other primary health care sector employees will have access to a range of nationally accredited skill sets and qualifications. The NWDF will fund employers up to 67% of the course cost, making access to the training very reasonable for employers to support their employees. The course cost ‘gap’ must be paid by the employer. For those interested, you can find further information regarding the NWDF at http://www.deewr.gov.au/Skills/Programs/SkillTraining/nwdf/Pages/default.aspx

To apply for this funding, GPQ must be able to indicate approximate levels of demand or interest in the training courses by the aged and primary health care sector. To assist this process, GPQ is inviting you to submit an Expression of Interest.
