Public health alert: Enquiries relating to concerns regarding radiation arising from nuclear incidents in Japan
Enquiries relating to concerns regarding radiation arising from nuclear incidents in JapanQueensland Health has issued the following advice alerting general practitioners regarding enquiries relating to concerns of radiation from nuclear incidents in Japan.
There is no risk to people currently living in Australia due to this incident.

General Practitioners are advised that:
- there is no risk to people currently living in Australia;
- persons who have been resident in Japan for the duration of this incident may be concerned about the possibility of being exposed due to this incident in Japan. Although unlikely, there is a small chance of exposure to radiation, at very low levels, for people in the Fukushima area and an isolated area near Onagawa prior to noon on the 15 March 2011.
